Brake Adapters (Probe & Ring Style)
“Ring” style brake adapters offer an economical, professional solution for servicing most domestic vehicles. Each adapter ring is color-coded for easy identification based on vehicle compatibility.
This component features a serrated black nut that, when rotated, expands the probe O-ring inside the reservoir neck to form a pressure-tight seal. Three “ring”-style adapters are placed around the neck of the reservoir to ensure proper alignment. The serrated top of the body is then rotated firmly, compressing the flat gasket against the top surface of the reservoir neck to complete the sealing process.
BAK5R Kit includes one ring adapter core, 3-rings plus the BA01 and BA05 adapters to support most Ford, GM and Chrysler vehicles.
BAK8R Kit includes all adapters in BAK5R plus BA10, BA13, and BAH1.

Service Instructions
FOR BRAKE SERVICE:
BRAKE ADAPTER OPERATION FOR BRAKE FLUID SERVICE:
① Remove the existing brake reservoir cap.
② Identify the correct adapter for the brand of vehicle being serviced.
③ Insert the Affinity Engineering Group brake adapter, rotate snuggly and/or tighten the serrated nut to create a pressure tight seal inside the reservoir neck. For the “ring” style adpaters, position the adapter on the reservoir neck and rotate the ring to lock in place. Rotate the top serated body tightly to seal the flat gasket against the top of the neck.
④ If the brake service tool or machine can not easily be connected to the brake adapter swivel connector, consider using either the brake adapter swivel hose (BASH) or brake adapter 2″ extension (BA2X) to position the connector in a more accessable location.
⑤ Connect the brake service tool or machine to the brake adpater and open the valve to check for leaks.
⑥ Refer to instructions for the brake service tool/machine to perform the brake fluid exchange service. Use manufacturer’s recommended brake bleed sequence.
⑦ Test brakes when complete…..before moving vehicle.
